Your Ceremony

INITIAL MEETING

The initial meeting is an obligation-free consultation. At this time I will outline the whole process and explain all the legal documentation that is required, discuss the type of ceremony that you might want, and answer any of your questions.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

Ivan Kalbstein is a qualified civil marriage celebrant registered with the Australian Attorney Generals Department, and is able to solemnise marriages according to law.

If you are intending to legally wed in Australia, there are some requirements that must be completed. I will work with you  to ensure these requirements are met, and assist you in all facets of the legal process.

A Notice of Intended Marriage must be completed and provided to me at least one month prior to your wedding ceremony(and no more than 18 months before the ceremony)

Identification from both parties must be sighted. The first is proof of your birth date and place of birth. (Your birth certificate or passport). The second is in the form of photo identification. (Drivers licence, Passport, Australian Citizenship certificate).If some of these documents cannot be provided, then we will discuss further options that are available. If either party has been married previously, I will be required to sight the divorce paper or death certificate.

Before the ceremony you will also need to sign The Declaration of  No Legal Impediment to Marriage form, to declare that there is no legal reason why you should not be married.

During the ceremony, The Monitum must be read, and you must be wed in the presence of two witnesses over the age of 18. Yes… you can be married with 2 witnesses and an authorised celebrant in a very small ceremony.

The wedding ceremony is a big part of what makes your day so special.  You don’t want to compromise on quality, so ensure your Wedding Ceremony is memorable for all the right reasons.

I will be able to provide you with a fixed costing after discussing the the type of ceremony with you.

The basic wedding ceremony cost starts at $500. Prices vary on individual requirements.

I WILL NEVER ALLOW TWO PEOPLE IN LOVE, TO NOT BE ABLE TO GET MARRIED DUE TO FINANCIAL IMPEDIMENTS.
